Peter I of Castile or Philip II of Spain?

Dear anon, I love so much your question but is difficult, they are very different and they are Kings of different periods, Peter was a King of 14th Century and Philip II was a King of 16th century.

The family enviroment of Peter I of Castile was really horrible, his mother was awful in her role and his relation with his half-brothers was terrible (with murders :S …).

The family enviroment of Philip II was really good.

Religion: Peter I of Castile was a really tolerant King and Philip II of Spain no.

Many things, but your question is difficult for me, they were different Kings, and one was a King of the middle ages and the other was a renaissance king.

I love them both, they are my favourite Kings, but to decide between them is really difficult for me but the reign of Peter I of Castile was really fascinating and is the most interesting period of spanish history for me.

When they are together, although there are many people around, they do not notice anyone else; they talk and laugh, and nothing else distracts them.
Carlos V, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain, and his wife Isabel de Portugal. This is a copy painted by Rubens of the original by Titian, lost in the fire that destroyed Madrid’s Alcazar in 1734. Carlos commissioned the painting in 1548. Their marriage had been a happy one, and the emperor was devastated when, on May 1, 1539, she died after giving birth to a stillborn child. Her (most recent) biographer Alvar Ezquerra describes the scene of her death:

In the moment she ceased to breathe, he kissed her face and her hands. She was still warm. And he started to cry. Those who were present could not tear him apart from the corpse, which he embraced with infinite despair, so they had to use the force, “without repairing in his imperial dignity”. While this dramatic scene took place, he exclaimed, not wanting to be separated from her: “Leave me, for I have lost my beloved one! ”

(Translation is mine, so beware of the possible mistakes)
Carlos never remarried, dressing in black the rest of his life.

And forced his son Philip (with only 11 years old) to head the funeral -.-.But his pain was really sincere, the empress was a pearl and wonderful woman.

Como el que va a ver una película al cine xD…

lediableaquatre Yes, you are right, but his way to write about the autos is really curious and “funny”. He wasn’t cruel (or serious) when was writing about the autos. “Ooooh, the auto of yesterday was really boring, my beloved daughters” in that regard. It makes me laugh. Off-topic: My mobile is a shit xD.

You, land of Castile, very wretched and damned are you to suffer that as noble a kingdom as you are, you will be governed by those who have no love for you.

Some foreigner people (and spanish people but a bit) speak about the wonderful Spain of the three cultures.

A peaceful and wondeful period…

PEACEFUL?, xDDDDD.

But shhh, the famous couple destroyed this “fabulous” period.

Peaceful…

Stupid people, stupid people everywhere.
